1. ME & MY DAD


Me & My Dad welcomes dads and other male figures (grandfathers, uncles, etc.) and their children to enjoy breakfast, children’s activities, and the opportunity to connect with other dads.

2. FAMILIES CONNECT


Families Connect is a group for moms, dads and their children aged 18 months to 4 years. Parents participate in the program by joining their children in play activities, helping with setup and clean up tasks, and by making connections with other parents in the group. Parents can receive information and support from the Coordinator, Early Childhood Educator, and a Resource Librarian. Children experience group play opportunities to promote social development, and participate in crafts and circle time.

3. FAMILY PLAY TO LEARN


The Family Play to Learn program is a drop-in style program for parents, grandparents, or care providers and young children. Children are provided the opportunity to play with other children while learning and developing through a wide variety of fun activities.

4. RESOURCE LIBRARY


The Toy and Resource Lending Library at the Peterborough Family Resource Centre is a place where you can discover your child's imagination! Our resource library is a great place where you can borrow a wide variety of toys and resources for you and your child.

  • High quality, developmentally appropriate toys for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school aged children
  • A wide variety of games, books, and activities supporting early literacy and numeracy
  • Resources for child care providers including themed curriculum kits, and story-based literacy kits

5. KIDS IN THE KITCHEN


The Kids in the Kitchen series of workshops are designed for parents to experience, with their toddler or preschoolers, the joy of cooking. These workshops teach early math and literacy skills. This program also gives parents an opportunity to try new recipes with their children. Parents can sign up for individual sessions as workshop topics change regularly.

6. POSITIVE DISCIPLINE FOR PRE-SCHOOLERS


Do you feel like your child is not listening to you? Do you and your child have daily power struggles? Is being a parent stressing you out? Positive Discipline for Pre-Schoolers is a three session parenting course were we will talk about what behaviour you should expect from your 3-5 year old, tools to help you communicate with your child and the importance of taking care of yourself.

7. STORY AND A SONG


Parents and their children ages 2-4 years are welcome to come and enjoy songs, crafts stories and games. Each week activities will be based on a favorite children's book.
