Me & My Dad welcomes dads and other male figures (grandfathers, uncles, etc.) and their children to enjoy breakfast, children’s activities, and the opportunity to connect with other dads.
Parents and Children Together (PACT) is a group for moms, dads and their children aged 18 months to 4 years. Parents participate in the program by joining their children in play activities, helping with setup and clean up tasks, and by making connections with other parents in the group. Parents can receive information and support from the Coordinator, Early Childhood Educator, and a Resource Librarian. Children experience group play opportunities to promote social development, and participate in crafts and circle time.
The Family Play to Learn program is a drop-in style program for parents, grandparents, or care providers and young children. Children are provided the opportunity to play with other children while learning and developing through a wide variety of fun activities.
The Toy and Resource Lending Library at the Peterborough Family Resource Centre is a place where you can discover your child's imagination! Our resource library is a great place where you can borrow a wide variety of toys and resources for you and your child.
Good Discipline, Good Kids is three sessions, offered through video and discussion. The sessions will offer strategies and skills to help you communicate with your children. Topics include handling anger, and setting rules and limits. Recommended for parents and caregivers of children ages 4 to 12.
How to Talk So Kids Will Listen and Listen So Kids Will Talk is an eight-week course for parents and caregivers of children ages three to twelve that offers innovative ways to solve common problems.

Siblings Without Rivalry is a six-week course focusing on the challenges of parenting more than one child.
Raising Your Spirited Child is a workshop that offers parents and caregivers insights, support and strategies for dealing with spirited children. The key word that distinguishes spirited children from other children is “more” - more intense, more persistent, more sensitive, and more uncomfortable with change.

Kids Have Stress Too is a single evening program designed to help parents and caregivers better understand stress, and to teach children ways to manage it. This program will focus on children preschool to age nine.
ESSO Family Math is a six-week program for families who would like their children to experience success in math. The family math sessions promote parents and children working and playing together to develop positive attitudes towards mathematics. Family math gives parents more confidence to better help their children enjoy and understand math.
Parents as Literacy Supporters is a six-session family literacy program for parents and their JK and SK children. This fun, activity-based program helps parents help their children with language and literacy development. Each session includes snacks, and a take-home bag with activities and supplies. School's Cool is a learning and school-readiness program for children ages 3 - 5 developed by SIRCH Community Services and Consulting.
The purpose of this program is to provide a total of 72 hours of age and developmentally appropriate instruction for children aged 3 - 5 which will enhance their entry into the kindergarten or other structured learning environments.
The course typically runs for 6 - 8 weeks: delivering 24 - 3 hour sessions to children and 2 sessions to parents. This program is delivered by Certified School’s Cool Instructors and blends developmentally-appropriate curriculum with measurable outcomes in the skill areas of language, reasoning, social and self-help.
Super K is a kindergarten enrichment program for children currently attending Junior or Senior Kindergarten. Students who are experiencing challenges with the kindergarten curriculum are selected by the kindergarten teacher to participate in this program.
This program is an outcomes-based curriculum program that has been developed to address age appropriate development in a holistic manner. Activities support individual student’s development in the areas of: social skills, language skills, literacy, numeracy, self-help skills and reasoning skills. This program typically runs for on alternate days to the kindergarten program. Student’s progress is assessed through the use of a developmental checklist.
Getting Ready for K is a four-week program that gives parents the tools to help their child develop learning readiness skills and ultimately succeed in school. Parents spend the first half of each session together as a group while their child participates in a series of fun learning activities. In the second half of the sessions, parents and children “practice” their new skills together with the support of the facilitators.
Keeping Peace At Home is a program where parents and caregivers of children ages 4 to 8 come and discuss some skills and strategies that will ease family tensions.
