Data Analysis Services


As offered by the Data Analysis Co-ordinator for Peterborough City and County

 

The DAC at the Ontario Early Centre Peterborough functions as a community resource to committees, organizations and agencies working with families with children aged 0-6 in Peterborough City and County.

 

The DAC at the Ontario Early Years Centre functions by responding to community requests for information and mapping services.  Due to limited availability, priority is given to requests from groups or committees representing multiple agencies/organizations for the purposes of service delivery planning.



Information

  • Consulting with committees, agencies and organizations to assist with designing forms, spreadsheets & databases to collect information
  • Assisting with the completion of  MCYS data reporting requirements
  • Maintaining a data warehouse of information relating to families with children aged 0-6 including, demographics, Early Development Instrument results (in conjunction with local school boards), organizations and services, reports, journal articles and research on Early Learning and Development, etc…..
  • Researching available population based data on specific topics or risk factors as identified and requested by community agencies and organizations serving families with children aged 0-6.

 

Mapping

  • Mapping of above mentioned data (where appropriate) as identified by community committees, organizations and agencies.
  • Developing and mapping social index comprised of risk factors to child development (0-6yrs) as identified by the Peterborough Best Start Network (including EDI results).

 

Evaluation

  • Designing forms, spreadsheets & databases for agencies and organizations to evaluate their programs
  • Researching and recommending existing evaluation tools for both participant satisfaction and outcomes based measurement of programs for children 0-6.
